Our award winning National e-Trade Centre teams in Peterborough and Manchester have an exciting opportunities for a Commercial Underwriting Assistants on a full time, permanent basis.
This role will be spilt between home and office work where you will be required to come into the office 3 times a week.

Strong communication skills
Good attention to detail
Customer service experience
Commercial insurance experience would be preferable
Previous underwriting experience would be beneficial but is not essential
What you will be doing:
- You will be providing a high quality support to our brokers
- You will be supporting the delivery of the E-trade new Business and Existing Business
- Taking ownership of business issues and fully utilise PUA licence within underwriting guidelines to meet required profit targets
- Meeting and exceeding broker service levels and expectations.
- Build relationships with key brokers to support business goals
- Develop effective working relationships with Trading Region and Underwriting Centre colleagues to support delivery of E-Trade objectives
- Effective usage and timely updates of Tools and Systems, accurate completion of all systems relevant to your role
- Improving your own contribution through active self-development
- To work as part of a team creating a one team approach, identifying, sharing and implementing knowledge and best practice in line with NIG values and strategy
Work hours: 35 hrs/week
