We are hiring a Hygiene Operative, working within the Hygiene team, you will be responsible for cleaning production and manufacturing equipment, and carrying out a variety of hygiene activities across operational and non-operational areas across the site.
The post holder will be required to stand for most of the working day, and may be required to work at heights, with some requirements for moderate physical effort, including bending, lifting and the operation of basic manual handling. There will also be elements of both internal and external working.
We currently have three positions available, the hours are: Continental 12 hour Night Shift (21:45pm to 10:00am, includes a 15 minute handover) or Continental 12 hour Day Shift (09:45am to 22:00pm) working on a rotation of 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off. Includes weekends and bank holidays.

Following training, the key duties of the post are as follows;
- Responsible for cleaning production and manufacturing equipment in the washroom
- Responsible for cleaning production lines and ensuring that the cleaning is carried out in accordance with product standards and specifications
- Responsible for cleaning non-operational areas. This includes but is not limited to cleaning corridors, walkways, staircases, meeting rooms and work areas, and general maintenance of the internal environment.
- Responsible for cleaning toilet areas. This includes but is not limited to: emptying bins, cleaning of toilet appliances e.g. toilets, sinks, surfaces etc., replenishing supplies e.g. toilet rolls and hand towels.
- Responsible for deep cleaning of floors and soft floor coverings within the areas of responsibility. This includes but is not limited to: deep cleaning of hard floors, stripping and polishing of floor areas and vacuuming.
- Responsible for operating specific equipment (compactor and baler), working at height (cherry picker) following adequate training.
- Responsible for reporting any maintenance requirements such as light bulb replacements, leaks, damaged equipment.
