Milk Education are working with an exceptional primary school in Altrincham to hire Teaching Assistants working with Year 1. The position will be on a 12 week contract basis with Milk Education to either be made permanent or a contract directly with the school.
We are looking for creative individuals to contribute to the progression, support, and encouragement of pupils at all levels.
Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils across Year One.
- Leading Mathematics, English, and Phonics.
- Provide one-to-one and group interventions for children with Special Education Needs and Disabilities.
- Supporting the development of individual education and behaviour plans facilitating pupil progress and raising attainment in targeted areas.
- Providing regular to pupils and teachers on achievements and objectives.
- Monitoring pupils’ responses and progress to learning activities and interventions whilst acknowledging methods to facilitate pupils’ progress and achieve intended learning outcome.
- Managing time effectively to assist and support pupils.
- Creating positive relationships with colleagues, pupils, and parents/carers to support effective learning.

Requirements
- DBS Check.
- Level 3 Qualifications in CACHE, NNEB, Education Studies and/or experience working within a Primary School setting.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to monitor pupils’ responses and progress to learning activities and interventions whilst acknowledging methods to facilitate pupils’ progress and achieve intended learning outcome.
- Strong passion for children’s progression and learning.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to uphold policies and procedures relating to child protection, data protection, and health and safety to ensure the protection of children.
