Warehouse Operative [United Kingdom]


 

The successful candidate tasks will be –

  • Picking and packing orders accurately.
  • Loading and unloading of delivery vehicles either manually or using a forklift.
  • Basic modification/assembly including sheet metal drilling.
  • Control and checking of goods received.
  • Putting away of stock in the correct location.
  • Assisting with stock checks as required
  • Preparation of goods for despatch.
  • Quality control checks on components, to support goods-inwards inspection.
  • Liaise and support Team Leader on customer returns and quality issues.
  • General good housekeeping – keeping the warehouse in a clean and tidy state.
  • Comply with the companies Health and Safety process and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Undertake other ad hoc duties as requested.

Whilst full training, where necessary, will be given it would be advantageous to have experience in some or all the following:

  • Counterbalance forklift certificate.
  • A background within a similar role in a warehouse or equivalent environment.
  • Organised, punctual, and reliable with excellent timekeeping.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and written
  • Clear understanding of written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to work well within a team and on own initiative.
  • Ability to listen to and follow instructions.
  • Use of hand tools (drills, grinders)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From £11.79 per hour
