Relief Support Worker - Forty Winks - Goole
Various Hours Available - £11.05 per hour, plus £1 extra per hour weekend enhancements
If you are looking for a job where you will finish the day feeling fulfilled knowing you have helped change lives, then look no further – we have the job for you!
At Forty Winks we have 3 individuals living here. They are all very active, mobile and verbal and require little support, because of this we work on a 3:1 support basis.
This role will require some instances of lone working with 3 individuals and helping them with most aspects of their daily lives, so you must be able to show initiative to work independently, handling problems effectively and efficiently as they arise. Each individual has their own hobbies, so you will help plan activities, trips, holidays or relaxing at home.
What the individuals we support are looking for:
"We are looking for a funny one, we want you to make us laugh and be easy to get on with. We are looking for someone who is helpful and trustworthy. We want you to be kind and caring and will go swimming with us or to the gym. We enjoy lots of different activities like bowling, cinema, horse riding, going to castaway, meals out, spa days, attending beauty appointments and day trips. Let’s not forget shopping!!! We live such busy fun filled lives. You will need to support us with cooking meals and housework, we can make this fun by singing and dancing at the same time. So, if you can make us smile and take us for the odd pint of lager to the pub then we can’t wait to meet you." - Does this sound like you? If so, apply now!!
